"Like a Moth to a-Oops. Spoiler Alert."

Films: The Blood Beast Terror (1968)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Forest/Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: As Mothra has proven, moths are downright adorable and benevolent! Except when they're not. For you see, moths can be messengers of death in some cultures. So you can see why Claire Mallinger was built off the design of the Death's-Head Hawkmoth.

History: Dr. Carl Mallinger, presumably looking for something to curb his boredom, decided to create a species of man-moth for laughs and giggles. Using DNA of the Death's-Head Hawkmoth, Carl created Claire, a beautiful woman capable of transforming back into a hideous moth beast on a whim. A male was in the works too, but Claire found it appealing to suck the blood out of humans, particularly young male suitors.

Notable Kills: Imagine making out with a nice lady, only to find a clawed hand over your head, and that lady's face now that of an insectoid monster. You'd either scream before your imminent death...or maybe keep going if you're into that sort of thing.

Final Fate: Carl burns the male before it can come out of hibernation, while Claire is lured into a pile of burning leaves. She gets turned to ash rather quickly.

Powers/Abilities: Somewhat hypnotic, and able to shift from human form to moth form whenever.

Weakness: Attracted to bright lights, regardless of the danger.

Scariness Factor: 4-Claire, as a moth, is downright ugly and demonic-looking. And the worst part is that she could very much be that cute lady you picked up. Hope you like getting sucked dry by a vampire bug.

Trivia: -The only moth to drink blood is the Vampire Moth, an opportunistic breed from Asia.

-The Death's-Head Hawkmoth is not only a symbol of death due to the skull-like marking on its thorax, but it also raids beehives for honey without breaking a sweat, and emits a cute squeaking noise when disturbed.

Somehow, the actual monster looks far less goofy.

"We should probably get rid of this decoration now."
Dracula doesn't appear in this, much less after he forgot the sunscreen.

"I AM THE NIGHT!"
We all need to survive in this world, after all...

Lava or being torn apart? I'm going with the former.
The human form. Take it in.

I bet that smells REALLY Bad."
